Need to find some fun??? Embark on a special journey and spend the afternoon sailing towards the Pacific Ocean and back on the Official State Tall Ship - Californian.
An Adventure Package includes a four-hour adventure history sail aboard the schooner Californian and admission to the museum and its fleet of historic ships. The Californian is a replica of a gold rush era revenue cutter and the Official Tall Ship of the State of California. Join the crew in sailing a traditionally rigged tall ship. Passengers will be invited to haul a line, man the helm and end their day with a cannon salute. Watch the crew as they scamper up and down the rigging to set and furl the sails. Listen as the Californian's crew relates the history of sailing and exploration in San Diego, tales of whaling and sea otter trade, local sea battles, the art of ship's gunnery, life at sea and more.

(Feel free to bring your own bag lunch! - no coolers, no alchohol, no glass containers permitted. We have coolers aboard if you need refrigeration) We do have beverages and light snacks available for purchase onboard.

Departure will be at 12:30 p.m. sharp. The boat will not wait for late arrivals under any circumstances. It is important that you arrive at least one hour before your scheduled departure to allow time for parking, check-in and boarding. Boarding begins at 12:00 p.m. No one will be allowed to check in after boarding begins at 12:00 p.m. You can check in anytime after 9:00 a.m. IMPORTANT: CHECK-IN ENDS AT 12:00 P.M. SHARP. IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER THIS TIME YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CHECK-IN OR BOARD.
The Maritime Museum of San Diego retains the sole right top cancel or postpone any activities as it deems appropriate as result of various circumstances.
