tall ship battle Cannon Battle - Sail a Tall Ship into Battle!

Enjoy a trip back into time as we mock battle with our adversary. Watch from the deck as we come into range of our target, and fire (blanks) from our four deck guns, emitting an eardrum-rattling boom and a dense cloud of smoke. The mock battle will employ the same tactics used during the mid-to late 1800s when the Gold Rush brought people to the West Coast. Ships like the Californian, a revenue cutter, served as a precursor to the Coast Guard. Built for speed and armed with heavy fire power, they would chase down merchant ships that failed to pay proper tariffs.

Enjoy a little adventure 1800s style and take a trip back into history fighting the Enemy from a Tall Ship.

America's Cup Races and Sunset Sailing

12 Meter Sailing Experience When sailing aboard the 80-foot International America's Cup Class (IACC) racing yachts Abracadabra/USA 54 or Stars & Stripes/USA 34, you will be standing on the deck of one of the fastest sailboats on the planet. This is a chance to experience the thrill of what it would be like to crew a yacht in the America's Cup Challenge.

Sunset Sail on Yacht America AMERICA is not only very beautiful but quite fast for a yacht of 139 Ft. While we may not always achieve her top speeds of 14 to 17 knots during a late afternoon San Diego sunset sail, you are guaranteed to be impressed by how smoothly she slides through the bay while you sip a cocktail and take in the sights.
