Housing, Transportation & Directions
Participants have several options for housing in San Diego: University housing, hotels and motels. Participants needing housing in San Diego are encouraged to make arrangements as soon as possible as San Diego is a popular summer destination and accommodations can be difficult to find in the summer last minute. To help participants,
on a first come first served basis, a limited number of apartment–style housing has been reserved at the University of San Diego, located less than 6 miles from the Maritime Museum of San Diego.
Located on 180 acres overlooking the city of San Diego, Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean, the campus is a community treasure, with Spanish Renaissance- inspired buildings and breathtakingly beautiful landscapes.
The apartments will be located in San Buenaventura, a new residence hall completed in August of 2007. Each apartment will have 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, wireless Internet access, ceiling fans, and a full kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. Each of the building's four floors has a study room. There are also three multipurpose rooms – two for seminars, meetings or social gatherings and one fully equipped entertainment room with plasma TV, air hockey table and pool table. Additionally, there are elevators and even a putting green!

Based on multiple-occupancy, the cost will be $60.00 per person, per night. Bed and bath linens are included. If 2 attendees wanted to share their own apartment, the cost would be $75.00 per person, per night.
(A private room with bathroom (non-apartment) located in a separate resident hall can be reserved for $75.00 per person, per night).
The San Buenaventura residence hall is wheelchair accessible and apartments specifically designed to accommodate. One of the biggest draws to the San Buenaventura residence hall is its location directly adjacent to the new Fitness Center. For more information on the various amenities of the center, please see http://www.sandiego.edu/mfc/
Conference attendees will be given a daily pass for free usage of the fitness facility. Wireless Internet access will be a one-time access fee of $10 for the day and $30 for the week.
Meal rates are at the dining facility will be $7.25 for breakfast and $11.00 for dinner plus California Sales Tax. (The dining area in this new Pavilion is incredible, need to include pictures and descriptions)
Parking on campus will be $20 for the week. More information can be found at http://www.sandiego.edu/parking
A Tram Service is available that shuttles students, faculty, staff and visitors to various stops around campus. The tram runs in a circular loop throughout the entire campus.
