Festival of Sail- Tall Ships Battle on the bay.

Come Join the crews of the tall ships and revel in the experience of tall ship sailing while we engage opposing ships in a Cannon battle at sea.

Cannon Battle tickets include an incredible sailing experience aboard select tall ships during the Festival of Sail where you’ll battle other tallships with black powder cannons. Ticket holders will be onboard one of the ships to experience and participate in the thrill of tall ship maneuvers and tactical combat at sea 1800's style.

*This is a ADD-ON event - ALL PASSENGERS REQUIRE A CANNON BATTLE TICKET AS WELL AS A FESTIVAL OF SAIL Tall Ship Ticket.

FOS CANNON BATTLE:
Adults - $65.00,
Children - $40.00 (12 and under).

SHIPS PARTICIPATING IN THE CANNON BATTLES:
Californian is a replica of a revenue cutter that patrolled the coast during the California Gold Rush. A topsail schooner built for speed, the Californian was designated the official Tall Ship of the State of California. The Californian is home ported at the Maritime Museum of San Diego. Various ships will be participating in the cannon battles.

Ship choice will be on a first come first served basis during check-in.
Early Cannon Battle Check-in ends 10:30am returns at 1:30 p.m.*
Afternoon Cannon Battle Check-in ends 2:30pm returns at 5:30 p.m.*
We suggest you arrive at least 30 min before your check-in time ends

Important Information Please Read Below
NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES

LATE CHECK-IN. If you are late you will forfeit your ticket. It is important that you arrive at least one hour before your scheduled check-in time to allow time for parking, check-in, and boarding. Boarding begins 30 minutes before departure. No one will be allowed to check-in after boarding begins. You can check in anytime after 9:00a.m.
Early Cannon Battle check-in ends at 10:30 a.m.
Afternoon Cannon Battle check-in ends at 2:30 p.m.

IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE LATE FOR CHECK-IN YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BOARD

WILL CALL ONLY: CHECK-IN AT THE BOATING ACTIVITIES BOOTH
We do not mail tickets. Print and retain your confirmation and present it at the BOATING ACTIVITIES BOOTH. Check-in at the north end of the festival on the day you sail to get your boarding passes.

ADVANCE SALES CUTOFF
Online sales will end at 9:00a.m. on the day of the cruise or when that cruise is sold out (whichever comes first). If you do not see the date or time you are looking for that cruise is sold out. Walk up tickets may still be available after on-line sales are discontinued (day of cruise only).

WHAT TO BRING
If you are prone to sea-sickness please take medication prior to departure. It is a good idea to bring a hat, jacket or sweater, sunscreen, and ear protection. Snacks or soft drinks will be for sale on board. You may also want to bring ear plugs.

CHILDREN
Every person on board needs a ticket. If your child does not require a FOS tall ship ticket they are still required to pay for boat rides.

SECURITY
All bags brought on board are subject to search. You will not be allowed to bring weapons, alcoholic beverages, chairs or strollers on board.

*Schedule is subject to change. Cannon battle sails may be postponed or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, mechanical problems, safety concerns or for any reason determined by Maritime Museum of San Diego staff to be sufficient cause to cancel or postpone the cruise. Postponements or cancellations may occur anytime right up to departure.
