Festival of Sail- Sail in the Tall Ship Parade!Sail from the mouth of San Diego Bay, past Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Downtown, and back to the Maritime Museum.
Join the celebration as part of the flotilla of ships that sails into San Diego Bay to kick off Festival of Sail! Be on board the official tall ship of California, Californian, as she leads the parade of visiting ships down San Diego Bay and to their docking spaces at the Maritime Museum.
Space is limited, book your reservation early.

Please consider bringing a jacket, hat and sun screen. We also encourage bringing a light nonperishable snack. Coolers are not allowed, only bagged lunches. Sodas and water are available for purchase.
FAQ:Does the Parade Sail ticket include admission to the Festival of Sail event?
It does not. Only the parade sail and admission to the museum, San Salvador site, and its exhibits for Thursday 8-28-14.

Yes, a day before Festival of Sail officially opens.
Where do we check-in to board the Californian?
Check-in at the white information booth in front of the Berkeley ferry boat.
Are there restrooms on board the Californian?
Yes (in boat speak they are called heads).

CHECK-IN AND BOARDING:
Check-in at the White Information Booth in front of the Berkeley Steam Ferry.
Boarding check-in ends promptly at 8:30am.
Be sure to allow time for finding parking and arrival to the Maritime Museum. We suggest public transportation, bus, trolley and coaster all stop in easy walking distance.
Late arrivals are not allowed to check-in or board.
If you are late you will forfeit your ticket.
Boats do not wait for late arrivals under any circumstances.
WHAT TO BRING
If you are prone to sea-sickness please take medication prior to departure. It is a good idea to bring a hat, jacket or sweater, sunscreen, and ear protection. Snacks or soft drinks will be for sale on board. You may also want to bring ear plugs.
*Schedule is subject to change. Boating activities may be postponed or canceled due to adverse weather conditions, mechanical problems, safety concerns or for any reason determined by Maritime Museum of San Diego staff to be sufficient cause to cancel or postpone the cruise. Postponements or cancellations may occur anytime right up to departure.
