Product Description
The Foxtrot Class Russian Submarine is a diesel-electric, attack submarine launched in 1972 by "Project 641" which built conventionally powered submarines for the Soviet Navy during the Cold War. Classified "Foxtrot" by NATO, these submarines were essentially larger and more lethal versions of the WWII era German U-boats. The B-39 served the Soviet Navy for twenty years tracking American and NATO ships in the Pacific. B-39 is currently a featured exhibit here at the Maritime Museum.
